Basal Cell Carcinoma

Analysis

If the mole has been going through some changes (bleeding, scabbing) it needs to be examined by a physician.

Please note that bleeding and scabbing are some of the symptoms of basal cell carcinoma.

In addition, by visually examining the mole image, it appears to have similarity to the basal cell carcinoma picture below:

Customer's Comment: This mole has been on the lower rear calf of my left leg for at least two years. It is 10 mm in length. The middle is very depressed and can be pushed-in further as it seems that the tissue beneath it has shrunken or died.

Thanks

Analysis

The main possible diagnoses for this lesion on the face are benign mole and basal cell carcinoma.

Since you have noticed a rapid change, the lesion should be examined by a physician ASAP.

Generally speaking, if a lesion is soft and compressible and can be easily moved from side to side, it's *likely* benign.
